Helen  Parmentier has joined IAC as a Trading Assistant in June of 2010, though her passion for coffee is long standing.

Helen began learning about coffee as a barista. Her growing obsession with refining her skills, and better controlling the nuances that are possible in well prepared coffee, led her to become manager of the shop. Many a barista has learned the craft while training with Helen, who is particular about what makes a perfect latte. Helen has moved into the business side of the coffee trading business, and is applying her curiosity and drive to learn more about the larger variables that go into making great coffee.

In addition to her passion for coffee, Helen is an artist, horticulturist, and garden designer. She is a native of Prague, Czech Republic, and has lived in Ohio, Florida, and Rhode Island.
