CHARLEY IS A Junior TRADer AT INTERAMERICAN COFFEE.  HE JOINED THE BOSTON OFFICE IN JULY OF 2010.

A passion for coffee began to develop as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic.  Charley worked with a coffee cooperative in the Southwest of the country.  The majority of his work pertained to improving the management of a small loan portfolio held by the cooperative.  The loan program focused on providing working capital to farmers during harvest and rehabilitating individual farms to improve quality and yields.  During the two years, Charley had the opportunity to observe the first leg of the long journey coffee takes from the tree to the cup and to learn from those who grow, process, and export it.  He is excited to have the opportunity at InterAmerican Coffee to learn about the second leg of the journey from tree to cup.

Charley enjoys experiencing different cultures and visiting new places.  He has traveled extensively through Southeast Asia during a two year stint teaching English in Taiwan. 

Charley has a BS from Arizona State University and a MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.  He enjoys scuba diving, running and gardening.
