>> Elan believes in good coffee and the dignity of every human bean!
Elan's reputation for high quality has been built upon solid, direct and stable relationships with growers since 1989. In-field support includes:

- Building two triple-certified cooperatives, La Voz Que Clama en El Desierto of Guatemala and La Florida of Peru, into established and sought after brands.
- Pre-financing loans for 8 co-ops, giving them freedom to choose their creditors and obtain better terms than those offered by local banks.
- Creating partnerships between farmers and roasters to improve farm processing.
- Providing technical assistance to more than 25 cooperatives throughout Latin America, Africa and Indonesia.
- Helping cooperatives transition from conventional farming to organic farming.
>> Team Elan has implemented social programs in the communities where we work. We assist in improving living conditions in coffee-producing regions. Proceeds from each pound of coffee fund public projects such as:
- Helping build schools, health centers, and roads and has improved farmers working conditions.
- Helping to fund the first Finca micro-loan bank for women in Cooperativa La Voz Que Clama en El Desierto of Guatemala, resulting in a successful weaving cooperative.
- Supporting a cooperative of Nicaraguan war widows, Soppexcca, by purchasing and promoting their coffee in North America.
- Organizing the first women's coffee trip to Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
- Supporting programs such as Coffee Kids and Cup for Education to improve the lives and educational opportunities of coffee farmers' children.
