Fernanda Hernandez (Fern) is a Jr. Trader at Elan Organic Coffees. Fern's love for coffee began in 2004 as a barista in a coffee shop downtown San Diego. Fernanda joined Team Elan as Director of Quality Control in 2007. Fernanda has been a full-time trader since September 2009.

She immediately had a positive effect on the office environment with her beautiful latte art and delicious espresso drinks.

Fernanda was the first coffee importer to compete in a Barista Competition. She has also had the opportunity to judge a competition in Los Angeles. Her experience also includes cupping as a judge for Rainforest Alliance and in March of 2009 she became a licensed Q- Grader.

Fern is fluent in Spanish.

Her passion for coffee quality and sustainability from tree to cup will hopefully lead her to origin travel in the future.

She enjoys art, music, astrology, modeling, traveling, and specialty coffee.
