Celebration of the Critters
Elan Organic Coffees is proud to participate in San Diego's annual Celebration of the Critters, an event that features tastings from more than 200 of the city's finest restaurants, breweries and wineries. The Critters event raises money for the San Diego Zoo's Conservation and Research for Endangered Species (CRES) program. The ladies of Elan were busy serving regular and decaf coffee all evening, promoting socially responsible coffees and local coffee roasters!

Pacific Coast Coffee Association travels to So Cal
The rest of the Elan Organic Coffees Team spent the weekend in La Costa just North of San Diego for the Pacific Coast Coffee Association's 76th Annual Convention. The event included board meetings, fabulous dinners at the resort, speakers from around the globe, croquet, golf and a final evening dinner with entertainment from a local collaboration of unique artists, including Flamenco, Afro-Cuban Rumba, Son Cubano, and Tribal Belly Dancing!
Saturday was a beautiful day for golf. Being my first time at the PCCA Convention, I joined the large group of men and very few women on the course. I was feeling a little nervous, having not golfed in almost a year... but I quickly realized It was all about having fun when the prize on the first hole was for the "Shortest Drive" and when I saw the stands being set up on the 18th hole so that those who had finished could chant and throw golf balls at the finishing groups while sipping on martinis! Needless to say I scored well, especially after the handicap which put my score at a 78! It was a fun and successful weekend.
