Elan Donates Time to a Community in Baja
Elan Organic Coffees returned to an
Orphanage in Baja, California for tea m day
in December 2007. Elan
donated diapers, pinesol, baby clothes, blankets,
sweatshirts and even a badminton set to The Door of
Faith Orphanage. The
general manager of the Orphanage happily gave us a tour
and answered  many of our
questions.
There are over 100 orphanages in Baja. The Door of Faith
Orphanage accommodates over 100 orphans, ranging in age
from newborns to teens. The Orphanage is like a family.
Kids have their own toys, their own beds and their own
responsibilities.
"Everyone contributes," said DJ, "We often take the kids
to help serve others that are less
fortunate, so they understand how fortunate they are to
have enough food, a roof over their heads, a school to
attend and clean clothes." He informed u s that one child
that had arrived at the age of 4 just began law school
in Tijuana!
The Door of Faith will continue to serve the community through donations!
